Altrincham FC 2012 squad

After Altrincham FC’s great performance at the weekend they have continued strong in their away match against Gainsborough Trinity last night bringing home 3 points in a 4-2 victory.

A fantastic team effort away in Gainsborough, Altrincham FC seem to be back in heir stride after a disappointing start to the season, but after a momentous win on Saturday the young squad seem to have gotten their confidence back and are a force to be reckoned with.

The match kicked off later than expected due to a problem with the floodlights but before the end of the first half Altrincham were in the lead with 2 – nil.

Altrincham FC is a young squad and at this level experience and confidence can be the difference between a win and a loss but the team seem to be working together much better and have a lot more confidence in themselves as a team and individuals.

All four goals were scored by Reeves, Damian Reeves has been with the team since 2010 but has also a lot more experience with other teams as one of the older members of the squad. His lead is a great example to the young team but of course football is a team event and no credit should be lost to the guys who were setting up the goals and played a great defence in the match and Reeves goals were set up by Lawrie, Watmore and Clee.

Hopefully the Alty FC will continue this winning streak and we will see the Ravens fly up the score board.
