Art with a Heart will soon be showcasing stunning art pieces from around the world, all to support a charity much closer to home, CAFT.

As many of you will know CAFT is a well deserving Children’s Adventure Farm Trust that offers activities and holidays for children who are disabled, troubled or are carers and is one of the more popular charities in the Altrincham area.

Art with a Heart was set up by Karen Wroe who has spearheaded the organisation of a venue and managed to gain a lot of support from local businesses who have sponsored the event or just given their time to help get things runnning.

The exhibition showcasing art work that has been donated by artists from all over the world will take place for one month from 21st September and all proceeds from the sales of ther work will go to CAFT.
Karen worked hard to secure a venue to hold the exhibition in the empty shop that was once Chisnalls on Shaw Road, the shop is currently owned by Trafford Council.

Karen commented:

“Its such fantastic news that Trafford Council have agreed to loan us the retail unit for the exhibition, it’s a fantastic space that will really show off the pieces of art which continue to be donated. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for emerging and established artists from the North West, UK, and the rest of the world to exhibit their work in an exhibition showcasing International artwork, including donations from America, Africa, Asia, Australasia and Europe.
“We are so pleased that several local businesses have already come forward to lend their time and expertise for free, so far these include Bright and Beautiful, Dashes and Dots and Ithaca Photography. Their support will maximise the monies donated to CAFT. It is also an exciting opportunity for Altrincham and surrounding areas, working with local people and businesses towards the regeneration of our local high street.”

Julie Gray, Community Fundraiser for CAFT said:

“We are very grateful that Karen has taken on this massive project on our behalf. The Art with a Heart Exhibition promises to be a wonderful community event which will enable us to change the lives of countless terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children.”

There are opportunities for Altrincham businesses to sponsor this well covered event, for only £25, you would get you name and link onto the the sponsorship page of the website, alternatively you could advertise in the exhibition catalogue for £50 (or £60 if you require design and setting) or take out both for as little as £65 (£75 if design and setting are required).

At with a Heart will be producing 500 copies of the catalogue, of which 200 will be given to the attendees to the Preview Evenings. The catalogue will be A4, coffee table quality and for a 1/2 page advert I am sure you will agree this is a very reasonable price. But sponsorship is limited and time sensitive as the catalogues are being produced and designed now and will be printed at the end of the month.

More information about the exhibition can be found on the Facebook page or on the CAFT website.
