Brides Line Up To Blush Once Again At The Moth Ball

It’s usually the most expensive and most beautiful item a woman ever buys, yet it typically only ever gets worn the once. What is it? Her wedding dress of course! Once the wedding is over, the wedding dress is usually packed away at the back of the wardrobe, sad, lonely and abandoned.

It is this heart-breaking scenario that inspired Cheshire bride Rachel Bishop to create The Moth Ball – a wedding-themed charity ball – to give brides in Cheshire a chance to wear their wedding dresses again and raise money for charity at the same time.

The Moth Ball takes place on Saturday 28 September 2013 at Mere Court Hotel in Knutsford. It is a fun-packed evening with a 3 course dinner, live band and thrilling auction with some fantastic prizes. All proceeds from The Moth Ball are being donated to the Breast Cancer Campaign and Queenscourt Hospice, both charities very close to Rachel’s heart having lost a good friend to Breast Cancer 2 years ago.

Rachel is full of praise for those supporting her quest, especially Altrincham-based Perfect Weddings who will dress the venue free of charge. Rachel says, “As a charity event, we really can’t afford to spend any money on things like decorations but it’s so important to make the event as special as possible. Perfect Weddings have been brilliant and we are so lucky to have their support. I’ve seen them dress this room for other events so I know it will look like a fairy tale when they’ve finished. I can’t wait, the guests will love it!”. Debbie Warren, Owner of Perfect Weddings adds, “We are really thrilled to support The Moth Ball. It’s such a great idea and will hopefully raise lots of money for these very worthwhile causes”.

The Moth Ball is on Saturday 28 September at 19:00 at Mere Court Hotel, Knutsford. Tickets are still available and cost £45. Tickets and more information from www.themothball.co.uk.
