Dunham Massey’s garden is the perfect place to let children’s imaginations run wild this half term. From Tuesday 31st May to Friday 3rd June 12-4pm, younger visitors can enjoy getting creative and have fun outdoors with different ‘extra messy 50 things to before you’re 11 ¾’ activities

Dunham Massey, Altrincham – 31st May- 3rd June 2016, 12pm-4pm – getting messy is all part of the fun! Plus there’s no excuse for adults not to get messy too!

Let your creativity flow and get your hands dirty with Wild Art on Tuesday 31st May. Be a bird’s best friend on Wednesday 1st June by making a Fat Ball Bird Feeder. On Thursday 2nd June put away those paintbrushes, dip your feet in paint and create a masterpiece with Go Barefoot Painting. Recreate your favourite part of the garden with Create with Clay on Friday 3rd June.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Younger explorers can tick even more ’50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾’ whilst they explore the park and garden, from tracking wild animals to building a den. How many of your ’50 things’ will you tick off this May half term?

With the weather getting sunny, there is nothing better than a picnic…unless it’s a Teddy Bears’ Picnic.

If you come down to Dunham, you’ll be sure of a big surprise. Bring your favourite teddy and a scrummy picnic for an unBEARlievably  PAWsome day of games, a puppet show and live music from Lydgate Brass Band – there’s something for the whole family to enjoy.

It’s not just our younger visitors who get to have fun in the garden this summer – enjoy the garden into the evening with after-hours events including cinema and theatre.

 

Beyond the Garden Gate

You haven’t experienced Dunham’s gardens until you’ve seen it after hours. Discover the delights of the garden as the night draws Beyond the Garden Gatein with live music, drinks and nibbles on Friday 10th and 17th June 5.30-8pm…the perfect way to end the week with friends in stunning surroundings.

Make the most of the late summer weather to enjoy alfresco entertainment in the garden. Bring along your friends, family and a picnic and see cinema and theatre performances in the beautiful open-air setting of our garden. You’ll be spoilt for choice this summer, as on Friday 2nd September you can be ‘shaken and not stirred’ by 007 in Spectre and on Saturday 3rd September ‘nobody puts Baby in the corner’ with Dirty Dancing. Sharpen your detective skills and solve the mystery on Saturday 16thJuly with Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles. Let the children be captivated as the story of Ratburger comes to life on Saturday 27th August.
