The ladies and gentlemen at Gascoigne Halman Estate Agents are taking part in Altrincham and area wide Olympic relay to raise money for Charity.

Gascoigne Halman Charity events

Gascoigne Halman have a lot of activities on to raise awareness and raise money for local charities including a recent bake sale (see picture) where they baked and sold cakes for charity. In light of Olympic fever that has captured the nation the reputable Altrincham and Cheshire estate agents are now using the Olympics to have fun and raise some money.

The Gascoigne Halman team did a similar baton relay in 2006 to raise funds for the David Lewis Centre for Epilepsy, this was originally nicknames ‘Whacky Races’ as the teams used various unconventional forms of transportation such as using a Penny Farthing or a Milk Foat for relay legs.

This years relay event will be in the style of the Olympics but instead of just running the baton to all the offices in the area the Gascoigne Halman team are planning on having a lot more fun each office adopting a sport from the Olympics.

The route will started yesterday (Wednesday 4th July 2012) when John Halman set off from the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and cycled to the Sale office.

The three day route runs through Sale, Didsbury, Cheadle,  Bramhall, Poynton, Marple Bridge, Whaley Bridge, Prestbury, Macclesfield, Holmes Chapel,  Knutsford, Stockton Heath, Lymm, Altrincham, Hale, Alderley Edge and Wilmslow.

The activities include Horseriding, carrying a canoe, ping pong and gymnastics, and on Friday 6th July you can see Tom and Charlotte Box their leg of the relay, we are hoping they don’t have a first round knock out of their 30 minute relay leg :)

Not only will this event help celebrate the Olympics and provide a great opportunity for the local community to see the team but they will also be raising money for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

Don’t worry though they are not asking you for money, nor are they going to friends and family for sponsorship, this charitable initiative will come from Gascoigne Halman as they are pledging £10 from every home that is listed throughout July.
