Have A Christmas To Remember In Altrincham!

Altrincham Forward is excited for the fun-filled, festive season in Altrincham – with something for all the family to get involved in!

The programme of activities this year is already underway, but will be boosted by the Christmas light switch-on taking place on Saturday 23 November, with a whole host of fun, music and laughter. There will be some very special guests to help get the festivities underway and ensure the little ones are entertained.

The popular Twilight Market has also returned to Thursday nights with an even more unique twist offering under cover, hand-picked stalls selling unique gifts, piping hot street food, real ales, continental beers, hot cider, mulled wine, mince pies, live music and Christmas films for kids. It is also late night shopping in the town until 8pm.

That’s not all! The Great British Christmas Market has been launched where every Sunday there will be unusual and unique hand-made gifts for all the family. Visitors are asked to wrap-up warm for piping hot street food, live music, beer, mulled wines and crafts for the kids.  There is even a gift-wrapping service!

We all know that Christmas wouldn’t be the same without a visit from Santa, and he will be making an appearance in Altrincham to add some cheer – details of his visits will soon be announced!

Chair of Altrincham Forward Councillor Matthew Colledge said: “Christmas is a very special time of year and we really look forward to putting on a great festive season here in Altrincham that local people can come and enjoy. This is a chance to help support local businesses in the run up to Christmas as well as getting into the Christmas spirit. Altrincham has an eclectic mix of independent shops and popular high street brands, the addition of the Christmas markets make it the perfect shopping destination.”
