Hills’ Bakery, Hale receive prestigious award

Hills’ Bakery on Ashley Road in Hale are continuing with their centenary celebrations. Hills’ have been providing the community of Hale and Altrincham with a wide range of cakes, pastries and artisan breads at a consistently high standard for over 100 years. Gourmet sandwiches, homemade soups, toasties and nespresso coffees have now been included in their daily offerings.

Last Saturday the community joined together to recognise this amazing feat. The prestigious Centenary Trading Award has been given by the Court Leet of Altrincham, who since 1290 have been monitoring the wellbeing of Altrincham and its residents.  Denise Laver; Market Looker of Altrincham Court Leet invited the Provost of Altrincham Court Leet, Alderman Bryn Mallion to sample the famous Mary Helen Hill shortbread. The shortbread was declared fit and wholesome. The award for 100 years trading was presented and greetings and congratulations were given on behalf of the Barony of Dunham Massey.
