A new, free bus service which aims to give Partington residents easy access to fresh food from Altrincham Market, is set to launch on Tuesday 3rd September.

The free bus service will collect passengers from Partington Library and Wellbeing Centre on Tuesdays at 10.30am and take them to Altrincham Market. The bus will return from Altrincham Market at 2.00pm giving visitors plenty of time to explore the market, take in the town centre’s wide selection of shops, or to take time out for a coffee and a bite to eat.

The bus service is being launched by Altrincham Forward’s Quality of Life Group and the Partington Neighbourhood Partnership, and will run up until Christmas Eve (24th December).

15 seats are available each week and seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Passengers will need to book a seat on the bus by visiting the reception desk at Partington Library and Wellbeing Centre.

Reservations for the first bus service on Tuesday 3rd September are being taken from the 20th August onwards.

Speaking about the launch of the free bus service, Councillor Matthew Colledge, Chair of Altrincham Forward and Leader of Trafford Council, said: “I’m delighted about the launch of the free bus service, as it will provide a much needed link with Altrincham Market, enabling residents from Partington to access a wide range of healthy fresh produce and to explore all that Altrincham town centre has to offer.”
