No 16 The Downs Altrincham

The long awaited opening of No. 16 The Downs officially opens this Saturday 8th September in Altrincham above the Traders Outlet.

Altrincham welcomes the newest retail space to open, No. 16 has a whole new floor dedicated to vintage and craft and is ideally situated above Altrincham’s Trader’s Outlet.

Owner Mathew Wray says:

‘We’re very excited. Research shows that people want something a bit different than your usual high street shops and No. 16 The Downs definitely offers that. We’ve had some excellent feedback already.’

‘What with some great new bars and restaurants opening in the town, I think there’s been a definite ‘buzz’ around Altrincham in the last few months and we’re glad to be a part of that.’

No. 16 the Downs will be much more customer focused and hands on as opposed to high street chains, many of the concessions are actually the traders and artists who will be running their stores giving customers the passion of the artists and the service of someone who knows and loves the products. Altrincham boasts some fantastic independent artists and crafters and this retail space gives them the opportunity to have a prime retail space without the expense of letting a full shop. With many of the retailers they do not have the profit margins or stock levels to fill many of the retail spaces available in Altrincham Town Centre therefore No 16 is the ideal place not only for retailers to get exposure but for customers to see all of the craft and vintage gifts and products in the same place.

No 16 The Downs will be officially opening its doors at 10am on Saturday 8th September, and if you pop down you could get an early glass of champagne in celebration of the opening. No. 16 The Downs has something to offer everyone, from reworked furniture; beautiful vintage clothes and accessories; handcrafted jewellery and pottery; photography; original art; vintage teaware and homeware; wooden toys and a vintage beauty salon.

Not only will Saturday be a momentous occasion with the official opening of No 16 The Downs but they also have a great day planned with a free craft workshop for children from KidzKreationz and a great soundtrack from Altrincham Vintage, Craft and Producer’s Market’s resident DJ, Twisted Vinyl, this should be a fantastic family-friendly day.
So why not pop in and see what it’s all about and show your support for your town centre?
