Graffiti SuspectPolice are asking Altrincham residents to help identify a young man who is believed to be responsible for a spate of Graffiti vandalism.

The CCTV image was taken from the Metro at around1am on Saturday 12th May, it is believed that the image is og the Graffiti vandal that has been spraying ’PMEK’ in blue spray paint around the interchange at different locations.

The CCTV from the metrolink was taken just before the latest graffiti incident and Police have released these images to help get a name for the suspect.

This Graffiti vandal, believed to be the young man in the photo, has been ‘tagging’ up to 24 different locations in Altrincham using the same style and blue paint since April.

Inspector Clark Bowers, of the Altrincham Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:

“This person clearly has no regard for the area and the ‘tags’ are nothing more than unwelcome eyesores.

“On dozens of occasions graffiti has been sprayed around the town and it is the local residents who are losing out each and every time as it takes police and council resources to deal with the clean up.

“If anyone knows the person in the CCTV or anything about the graffiti I would urge them to get in touch.”

The graffiti is an eyesore to the local community and is having a detrimental effect on the towns image, it is also using up a lot of council resources and volunteers time to get the Graffiti cleaned up.

Do you know the young man in the picture? Do you recognise his clothing or back pack, although the image isn’t very clear you can get an idea of his body shape and style, is he a neighour or a friend of your children?
