Staff at Altrincham-based Inrix are getting ready to model some funky new hairstyles for this year’s Wig Wednesday.

Staff at Inrix are preparing for the event on 21 May to support CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people.

Thousands of people across the UK will be donning wigs for the day to raise funds and show support for children and young people with cancer, many of whom lose their hair during treatment.

Michele Atkinson, Recruitment & HR Coordinator at Inrix, said: “We are quite a small company but are very excited to be taking part in Wig Wednesday to raise some vital funds for this very important cause. Our staff have some fantastic wigs to wear and we will also be doing a bake off on the same day to raise even more money”.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising  Manager Vicki Moore said: We’re so pleased Inrix will be getting their wigs on to take part in this year’s Wig Wednesday.

“Every day ten children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer and CLIC Sargent is here to provide vital support from diagnosis onwards.

“Wig Wednesday is a great opportunity for schools, businesses, universities and communities to raise money and support children and young people with cancer.”
