Kids play scheme

Are you looking for something to do with your kids this summer? Trafford Council are running Play Schemes for children aged between 5 and 12.

If you live in Altrincham or nearby you may be interested in the fact that Trafford Council are running play sessions in the summer holidays that will get your kids out and having fun meeting other kids instead of just staying in watching TV or playing on games consoles. Trafford Council play schemes are consisting of arts and crafts and themed fun days. Don’t worry about a ‘British Summer’ there are plenty of indoor activities for rainy days that will capture your kids’ imaginations.

Your kids can meet other kids the same age and participate in sports and games.  The activities are open to children aged between 5 and 12 and have opportunities for disabled children as well as non disabled. If you have a 5 year old that wants to come along the only provision is they need to be attending year 1 at school.

There will be plenty of staff on hand to ensure your children are safe and have fun and if you have special requirements they can try to accommodate these.

The play schemes run from Tuesday 31 July to Friday 24 August 2012, so perfect if you are struggling to sort out child care for the summer holiday.

There are 2 play sessions a day but your children can only attend one a day, the morning sessions run from  9.30am to 12.30pm, and the afternoon sessions are from 1.30pm to 4.30 pm, although in the Sale venue there are no afternoon sessions on a Tuesday or Thursday and neither venue has an afternoon session on Friday 24th August.

The Sale venue is at Sale West Community Centre, Newbury Avenue, Sale, M33 4QW, and the Lostock venue is at Venue C Block, Lostock College, Selby Road, Stretford, M32 9PL
and each session costs £2.50.

Contact Trafford Council to book a place, but the deadline for booking is Sunday the 15th July.
