As part of exciting festive celebrations taking place across Altrincham, the Young Enterprise Markets will once again be held at Altrincham market on Tuesday 3 December.

The event will give Trafford’s young people the opportunity to showcase their flair as entrepreneurs and show off their creative, enterprise and business skills.

The six teams taking part will be selling their own unique brand of Christmas goods which range from Christmas cards, an assortment of exciting, unusual and individual hand-made gift ideas and festive goodies which will appeal to all the family.

The teams taking part are from a number of Trafford secondary schools and colleges. These include: Sale Grammar School, Altrincham boys Grammar School Manor High School, and St Ambrose College.

Executive Councillor Michael Hyman said.

“The Young ‘Enterprise Markets are a fantastic opportunity for young people to showcase and develop their creative and business skills and get a glimpse of the world of the entrepreneur. It is encouraging and inspiring that so many schools give their time and support to take part in this annual event.”

Joan Scott from Altrincham Forward commented.

“This event is key to realising Altrincham’s vision to transform and revitalise its town centre and create a sustainable market place. It brings together a number of important stakeholders including, the council, local schools, colleges, market traders and local business, who have all worked really hard to make the event a great success.
